Homefront Review

With the gaming market saturated with first person shooters and goliaths like Call of Duty, Halo and Battlefield dominating the scene, Homefront seeks to make a name for itself in the FPS market. But will the game deliver on its promises of an engrossing and atmospheric campaign? Will the multiplayer be good enough to put down Black Ops for the next few weeks? Is this game even worth picking up?

Bulletstorm Review

In a lot of areas, Bulletstorm succeeds in setting itself apart from other shooters. The fact is developer People Can Fly and their publisher, Epic Games, knows that they are obligated to differentiate themselves in a oversaturated market. The problem is Bulletstorm tries too hard and suffers because of it. It’s a solid package, no doubt, and a unique twist to the tried and true FPS formula but let’s delve deeper before you slam down sixty bones for it, though, okay?

Dead Space 2 Is A Sci-Fi Horror Rollercoaster (Single Player Impression Review)

|[UPDATE: Video review added.]| The first Dead Space always felt like an underrated game which eventually led its way to become a sleeper hit. It was essentially a great game and offered a bit of a change of pace in the formula. My only complaint was the horror elements were not that frightening. But in the first few seconds of Dead Space 2, my heart was pounding.

Fallout: New Vegas Impression Review

One of our staff members on GameBlurb (I won’t name him!) disappeared for about a good month when Fallout 3 made its way onto the market. It had a similar result for me as I had engrossed myself into the futuristic post-apocalyptic world of the Wasteland. Now Obsidian has taken hold of making a whole new story way out into the Mojave Wasteland. Does the team that’s comprised of former Black Isle Studio vets have what it takes to suck me back in?

Alien Breed 2: Assault Single Player Impression Review

Team 17 always has a place for me when it comes to their Worms franchise. There is no other developer that will be able to match the fun and ingenuity of that series. With that said, I have never really taken a chance to look at their other series Alien Breed. Does Alien Breed 2: Assault capture the similar touch that Team 17 has been able to put in their previous games?

Dragon Age: Witch Hunt Micro-Review

I always hoped that someday BioWare would go back and revisit Morrigan and we’d be able to find out what had happened to her and with no sign of anyone from Dragon Age: Origins, Awakening or Dragon Age II, I started to worry. Luckily, BioWare decided to go back in DLC form to finally let me find whatever happened to my character’s beloved Morrigan. Does this finally end my desires to know what happened to her?

Worms Reloaded Review

When I had heard a few months back that Worms was gracing its way back to the PC, I was geeked.  As far as PC Worms goes, the series has been in hiatus since the release of Worms World Party in 2002. So what does the latest Worms have to offer us after all of these years? Let’s take a look shall we?

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days Impression Review

When I had heard that they were making a sequel to Kane & Lynch I found myself scratching my head. The first game didn’t fair too well with the reviewers and I personally decided to skip it. I figured the developers must be nuts to give this franchise a second chance. Did the old dogs learn from their mistakes in the first outing?

Split/Second Review

As if there weren’t enough racing games out at the same time, along comes Disney Interactive Entertainment and Black Rock Studios Split/Second. Launched across multiple platforms, this racer separates itself from the crowd with arcade style racing and heavy explosions, enough to destroy the world…well at least in-game.

Transformers: War For Cybertron Review

Gamers have long been wise to be wary when it comes to games based on movies. They’re often designed to appeal to the least common denominator and seemingly given a minimal amount of effort for the greatest return. Let’s see if Transformers: War for Cybertron follows this trend.

Singularity Review

I don’t really think Singularity was under anyone’s radar for a while, but with a lack of shooters for the recent few months (Surprising! I know!), I thought I would give this a chance. With what seems like a unique premise, does this game meet the merits of this generation’s shooters?
