Creator Of Mega Man Leaves Capcom

102910-inafune t seems the long time father of the Mega Man series has finally decided to resign his position from Capcom after 23 years. In a recent blog post Keji Inafune states, “A manager’s work means evaluating your subordinates and speaking your dreams. Anyone who can do both of those can be a manager. I thought that when I came here, and I still think that now.” Infaune believes that he can longer be able to these things at Capcom.

Inafune goes on to say that he’s reached the pinnacle position in Capcom’s development organization and is leaving with the “intention of starting my life over”.

It’s a sad day to see a man behind some amazing games such as Onimusha and Dead Rising to make such a departure. We’re not really sure exactly where he’ll be after this but here’s hoping Inafune finds his sweet spot again and doesn’t leave the industry for good.

Man, this is depressing, I might cry a little. Hope he returns.
